On Thursday, 14 February 2013, I and Never went to visit ShadowFox (Lee), one of the newest members of the Heathen Hangout bulletin-board. Never of course is an American who lives in Ohio, and is co-admin of the Hangout and Hub, and I am an Australian who lives nowadays in Germany, and admin/owner of the two boards, the Hangout and the Hub. Lee, whose username on the boards is ShadowFox, and who is also a member of the unrelated FRDB board, lives in Denver, Colorado, is 77 years old, and has just completed (as of the day before the visit) a radiotherapy treatment as follow-up to an operation to remove malignant cancer. Her prognosis seems quite good, and she herself is in good spirits, keeping up with it all bravely and being active.

We first went to her house, then we all went to Ted's Montana Grill, 6105 South Main Street, Aurora, Colorado, since Lee wanted us to try bison burgers. We did, and the bison burgers at Ted's are very good indeed, and made using meat from sustainable bison herds. After that we wandered down to The Chocolate Factory. It was a pretty good time, and it is of course a huge relief that the prognosis for Lee is so good. Some photos (click on the photos or header links for larger versions of the same photos):

    Note that the dental office is right over the Chocolate Factory.
    Yeh, we had a great time gorging on bison burgers and then chocolates after studying the chocolate offerings!
