"Hey lady, if you want to get your camera ready, I'm going to be cute now" seemed to be what this lemur was thinking as he stretched out to sunbath on a moderately cloudy February day in North Carolina when the sun had broken through the clouds. I obliged him as best I could with my cell phone. We chatted a bit (ok, I chatted, he looked cute) and I got a few good photos. This is a male ringtail lemur.

Once in a while I take a notion to do a random search on Google for the unexpected results. The other night I threw a few search terms in which had little to do with the result I found on, I think it was page 4.

It was a link to pz's blog, Pharyngula, this post by a guest blogger on the topic of Why I'm an Atheist. I notice there is some mention in it of not being able to share their lack of faith with family and their only place to ask question was the internet.

Here is some trivia at IMDB in anticipation of the release on May 11th. I'll try to blog about that after seeing...

First from

Nostalgia: a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time in one's life. Also: a yearning for the return of past circumstances, events, etc.

Reading various phrases, words, links, etc. tonight that certainly cause this feeling.

I think I'll add to this one of my all-time favorite songs because if there's one thing I don't ever do it's give up.

I was going through the piano bench last night - something I'd not done before. Almost everything in it belonged to my (now deceased) grandmother or uncle. I found where a local (to her) newspaper had been stuffed among the music. In it is a section where the writer had interviewed my grandmother asking what children had worn 100 years ago.

The article was from 1989. Grandma was born in 1898. The following was her response. Mind you, she had told these things to me personally many...
