Since I'm not into blogging, can't help you out here, but maybe somebody will pop in with some advice.

Basically, bloggs are about anything you want them to be. You hold forth your opinion about whatever interests you. Some like politics or religion, others economics or weaving. Photography, old cars, philosophy, science, medicine, finance, the world of patio gardening and house plants-----whatever suits your fancy and you know something about. I haven't done it yet because I really don't understand how my blog would be found by other people outside the Hub, or whatever other hosting entity might carry it or how to even get to one.

For a really successful blog, and one that is also worthwhile, i.e. not a trolling blog (some blogs build up huge traffic through trolling, but they are ethically grabage):

1) post often. People seem to want only blogs that post consistantly and often.

2) try to keep blog posts to roughly the same amount of words in each post (this apparenrtly works really well; don't look at me, I do not take my own advice)

3) post on interesting subjects, fast, when they're news

4) build up networks of contacts through Facebook or Twitter or other networks

5) publicise your blog posts through those networks

6) pay attention to what others say and what is important to them. This is not a one-way process where you can just expect people only to pay attention to you. Interact.

7) Stick at it no matter how long it takes.

8) Include a picture in each blog post where you can (this helps too, apparently).

You can make address as personal or as group as you like.

Blog about whatever you yourself find interesting, and what you can make interesting to others.

For some yes, for some no.

It can be.

The Hub has a blog system. So does WordPress.

Go look at blogs, then at board threads, over a period of timel. You will notice differences in audience and in culture.

Thanks for the tips every one sounds like consistency is key. I have been thinking about blogging about podcasting maybe a before and after thoughts kinda thing and to go into more detail on the topics. Wish is usualy science religion polotics philosophy etc.

Im also considering a secondary blog just about these topics or sonething else.
