martini HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013

A happy and healthy new year to you all. May it bring you closer to your heart's desire.

And I hope noone is suffering too badly from a hangover!

So what did yall do for New Year's Eve?

I went to bed early this year but woke around midnight to the sounds of firecrackers going off.

Happy to Year to everyone.

We ate chili, drank iced tea and watched the ball drop on TV. There were some fireworks in the neighborhood. I decided on a pre-New Years resolution to have all the dishes washed by 2013. I did but then about 20 min after midnight found one I'd missed. Always almost and always late.

I went to my friend's house and got completely shitfaced for the first time in five years. Proper hydration ensured a lack of a hangover, and so I got to spend the rest of the day with the old Japanese ladies, learning to make assorted Japanese foods that I can't pronounce the names of, plus sushi.

They actually made sushi that I liked, which is a shock. It means, of course, that I have to make my own. Especially since one of them suggested that I put bacon into my sushi.
