Just because.

I hate laundry, and I live in the perpetual hope that someone will discover a way to train cats to fold towels and pillowcases. But who am I kidding? If there's any training to be done around here, they will be doing it to me.

Hey, I'm serious. I'm interested in motor control, and I think it would be interesting to see how human reaching movements develop from the flailing that babies initially use to the smooth movements we perform every day.

If you intend to ever have children, you can set up an in-house research facility.

You might want to rent a child or two first and work your way up.

Bought two books today : Mort, by Terry Pratchett and Use of Weapons by Iain M Banks.

The Banks one is excellent.

I only read the first page of Pratchett's but it made me chuckle; looking good.

Sounds interesting. If you ever do get around to it, would it be possible to see (IOW, would it be one of those University-only publications?) an abstract*?

*The actual paper will probably be filled with techincal stuff that I do not understand.

Usually abstracts are freely available as a kind of teaser to get you to subscribe to the journal and purchase the full article.

However, I'm not above sending copies of my articles to people who ask for them. Usually I put them on my website before they have been published by the journal, which is normally allowed under the copyright agreements.
