Default Random answer/question changed

Owing to a flood of human-assisted spammers, I've change the so-called Random Question/Answer routine, and now the required answer is always "human", without the quote-marks.

So, not "Heathen" any more, but "human". We'll see how it goes.

It didn't work; spammers only stoped briefly.

So: now, all comments from guests under moderation, i.e. they won't appear in public till approved.

At least, I hope it's that way, I hope I found the right control button.

What question are you referring to? I don't understand.

He was allowing guests (unregistered) to comment on blog posts. In order to do so, they had to answer a random question which was to prove they were human and not bots (bots wouldn't know the question/answer in advance to be programmed). You would never have seen it because you were registered. However, these days some spammers have gone to hiring cheap labor to get through these systems by proving themselves to be human. Then you get the spam posted anyway.

That started here. Rather than have many blog comments advertising sexual aids and such, moderation has had to be turned on. IOW, an unregistered person can comment, but it won't show until one of us has approved it as being a real person *intending to comment on the topic*, rather than spam the site.

Update:

The system of the so-called Random Question is back in place: the answer is always "human", without the quote marks.

This is in addition to the Moderation Queue that holds up comments from unregistered guests till approved by a mod or the relevant blogger.
