Sorry for the long absence, everyone. Work went insane, and that is basically that.

Thanks.

Feeling way headachy today. I ate a bunch of fried stuff last night, and started to get a silent migraine. Today, it's still around, and trying to stop being silent. Oh. Fucking. Joy.

Must be pain time - I've got a muscle spasm in the back. Love the heating pad.

Other than that, eye check at doc's today. Coming along fine.

As we've had 3 days of lots of rain, I'm thinking when I feel up to it, I'll drag the hoses around, drain them, coil them up onto the hangers in the garage. Not gonna water any more this year!

Signed up for Twitter today. Traded tweets with Gurdur. I have yet another learning curve ahead of me, as if I didn't have enough already.

Got a recipe?

Up betimes and still not awake - another day to witness the day dawning. And in another week I'll be getting up with the clock reading an hour earlier. Dang this daylight "savings" time.

Mmm... Steak, mushrooms, and pesto cheese bread! Breakfast is one of those reasons I love being a grownup.

. . .that we had our first snow even if it did melt off by afternoon. Fall is here with that hint of winter, the first freeze and tonight the first hard freeze forecast. Leaves are turning colorful and spiraling down.

Me, too! 2ce in the past couple of months. Dunno where the first one came from as it had incipient pneumonia associated. This past one was due to overexposure to petrochemical. Hope you are coming back strong!

So glad I got the pantry stocked for the winter - hit lots of great sales at the markets.

Lotsa work coming up for you, eh?

Me, up betimes, really betimes, got the chili on in the slow cooker. Gonna be a fun day with my good friend Diana coming over for lunch, and bringing her dog Bella for Jackson to romp with.

Started with a pork loin I roasted and shredded.

We were supposed to have a potluck at work, so I figured I'd make and take a big bowl of mashed squash. Predictably, I was the only one who remembered we were having a potluck.

On the bright side- Lunch date tomorrow

Predictable, inevitable, oh yeh do I ever remember those times!

Not thinking of much as it's pre dawn. Gotta start going to bed later - this getting up wide awake at 4 is getting old. And soon it'll be 3 when the time change comes. Sheesh, that's the middle of the night!

Sorry, forgot to answer this. Paper goods but they're in the closet. Canned: salmon, tuna (Wild Planet as it's the best and ALL tuna), sardines, veg, fruit, beans. Dried: beans, lentils, pastas, bulk oats, bulk quinoa, fruit (2 types figs, apricots), Bearitos organic corn torillas both yellow and blue no salt added, sourdough WASA rye crackers, Akmak. Jars/bottles: EVOO (just a couple), a couple of salsas. I think that's it - if memory serves which it doesn't always!

Another early day for me - tho I did sleep in till 6 after getting up at 4 to let Dog J out for his quick romp and to turn up the heat.

Hope your guy is working out.

What a great day today. Indian summer, the burning bush (a euonymous) is gloriously red. Some fun greyhounds at the Meet and Greet today. Talked to lots of people, too.
