Default Philosophy of Life

Hi Friends.
Human life is a journey whose end is not in sight. Searching, longing and questioning is in our DNA. Who we are and what we will become is determined by the questions that animate us, and by those we refuse to ask. Your questions are your quest. As you ask, so shall you be.

Share your thoughts....
Thanks.

Who is this thinking, asking and questing?

Being is right here, right now.

Well, actually, it's more like what you do with the DNA you're given. A lot of what you do is up to what you choose, and then after that up to sheer luck.

Well, I'm still no billionaire.

I see problems with that premise.

Unlimited potential is always there, but we can not control that potential.

It sounds like the view that all is illusion and if we could somehow break free or control the illusion we could realize unlimited potential.

But what fun would that be?

Goes to watch the sunset.

The feeling of that illusion is very common. It really also helps curiousity and discovering how our natural world works, but also adds to depression about not escaping what is felt to be an illusion.

In the face of all the evidence, this is all we've got, and we only have each other and all, so best to make the best of what one has.

Is the end not in sight or is it endless? If we reach the point or end of the quest, well then what? But if it is endless, then why do we quest?

It's what makes the best in us appear. The questing itself, the divine discontent.

That and coffee.

Coffee and dark chocolate.

Long Sunday mornings spent with Father Pillow and Sister Sheet.

Lose the lighter, stick to fundamentals.

I think lighters mutate into coathangers, and coathangers mutate into paper clips, which then mutate into odd socks, which then metamorphise into lighters, which then metamorphise into coathangers.

This is all part of our wondrous natural world and Nature.

If you find the lighter, please ask those aliens if they have a philosophy of life, should sound pretty deep with all that weed. Oh, my house is in the sock phase, soon it will be full of lighters, I can send you a sock and by the time you get it should phase into a lighter, but if the mail is slow you may get a coat hangar.

Or maybe the original poster has the lighter.

Will trade: One philosophy of life in exchange for dark chocolate.

Dog Chewbones become empty water bottles, which become pens that don't work, which become a pile of old christmas cards from your elderly aunt Frieda, which turn back into puppy chewbones.

lol.

I missed you guys.
