This is disturbing on so many levels. The parents need prosecuted and the boy needs major, long-term help and supervision.

Agree with you, his parents need a serious kick up the arse for this.

What a little brat!

Honestly, there are times when I really wonder why we don't sterilise some parents. The most important job in the world, and we let any stupid bastard do it - even when they've proved they're incapable.

Shame the child didn't feed himself to the croc.

Brat is quite the understatement. That takes a sick mind.

I agree completely with the rest of your post. I know - individual liberties and all which I believe in, but I suppose the key phrase you said is "when they've proved they're incapable".

BTW, I read about this on a mailing list I belong to for owners of turtles and tortoises. They're such nice, gentle creatures. Who would think they'd be killed by a 7 year old.
