Default Any horror movie fans?

Simple enough. What are some of your favorite horror movies?

I have so many I have lost count but a few off the top of my head.

Halloween John Carpenters version

Devils rejects Rob Zombie

Dawn of the Dead George Romero

Night of the living dead George Romero

White Zombie with Bela Lugosi

The Cabinet of Dr Caligari..... Strange there is a reference to that movie here on this site.

that is just quickly off the top of my head any great recommendations for horror movies?

The Omen(s)
It
The house on the Haunted hill
*this movie where the killer was the guy running from the killer*
The 6th sense
The Grude
The grude 2
Boogyman (it's so bad, it was good.)

Only one of these ever made me scared. I tend to laugh at these films.

I like Clive Barker,he illustrates the darker side of humanity rather well.So 2 films based on his stories.

Hellraiser III

Nightbreed

13 Ghosts [good premise, rather like the box from Hellraiser]

Daywatch/Nightwatch

13th Warrior.Based on Ibn Fadlan's writings.It rocks.

Ranger, your choices mirror my other half's taste for gore and zombieism.

Romero's films are classics though,I admit.

Oh,

Return of the Living Dead:excellent Punk and Psychobilly musical score too.

I liked Psycho,Anthony Perkins is chilling.

I prefer my horror to manifest psychologically.

The 13th child. (about the jersey devil)

13 ghost was indeed a good premise, yet a horrible movie.

Emily Rose was good.

Your other half has good taste

Yes Psycho has to be near the top of the list of best horror films.

I have seen some foreign horror also The audition and Battle Royale.

Battle Royale is really good it has some elements that could make someone LOL.

Again, Bravo. How'd you know it was It? I saw It when I was in elementary school. It was the first and last movie to scare me. I love horror genre though, and have seen more movies then I can name.

I have seen the Japanese version of The Ring and the Original Grudge. The japanese Grudge was better then the Americans version...

Again how'd ya know it was It? =D

Just lucky. I know some people do not care for clowns especially monster ones so I took a gander at it.

I agree the Japanese version of the Ring is better.

What is "shrooms" that is a new one I have never even heard of it. What type of horror is it?

Well is ate some boomers(shrooms) before watching it, and did not finish it, but some Americans go to Ireland to meet up with a mushroom expert. They eat a mushroom the expert tells them not to, and its psychedelic killer thriller. Beyond a bad trip.

Me.Oh boy,it's like the British Blair witch 2,only without the shaky camera!

I enjoyed it actually.I guessed the premise early on.But it was a surprisingly entertaining film for me.

There is a North European 'shroom that is 10 -30 times stronger than our usual Psylocibe Semilaceata, it's the 'Baeocystis' variety. That much is not fakelore [myth and lore and entheogenics being hobbies of mine, lol] but the name it's called in the film is fake and it is not fatal in high doses, just motherfricking freaky, especially if ingested at the same dosage levels, usually unintentionally,as are counted for Semilacaetas.

Geri knows stuff about mushies too.Ohoh.What are boomers?I know, shrooms, but what are they like? Cubensis?

I watched a Japanese film recently: Death Note. The Demon is very clown like and totally scary to me,visually at least.

I am going to have to find a copy of Shrooms. Sounds interesting.

I love the old Hammer horror movies too I forgot to mention them. Christopher Lee was a very powerful Dracula.

Default Horror Movies

I'm a HUGE horror buff, so there's not much that scares me. The two movies that made me want to puke instead of giggle were Black Cat and for some reason The Illusionist? I think that's the name of it. My favorites that make me giggle are the Elm Street series (own 'em all) and the remake of Psycho with Vince Vaughn. The man is just too cute to take seriously.

I love Death Note. Did you know there is an anime version? I think the anime is better...the movie is too condensed.

I fucking LOVE horror movies!!!

The 6th Sense
Signs
The Ring
Rosemary's Baby
The Exorcist
Alien
The Messengers

Problem is that since I got into 'witchcraft' (so not what it is) my parents seem to have blamed it on my life-long love of horror movies and seem more and more nervous about letting me watch them., lol.

Dude, it was originally a manga, made into an anime, made into a movie. You saw the last part first, it would seem.
