I think the "inappropriate" ones are the best kind.

...I read the Wizard of Oz as a kid... I loved it... And the pictures aren't that bad...

Why is A Christmas Carol and the Night Before Christmas on the list? I think maybe I'm missing something...

Hey! "I know an old lady who swallowed a fly"!

My kindergarten teacher read the class that, I remember it.

The Gingerbread Man, the Carrot Seed, The Wizard of Oz again, One Seuss Two Seuss Red Seuss Blue Seuss... I liked those books as a kid. And what's this person got against the good doctor, anyways?

While I can understand why the cocktail one would be inappropriate, I'm lacking understanding as to why everything else on this list is there... And what kind of time this person has, to go around reading a bunch of kids books to scan and review. Honestly. Get a job. *stares at the list in an overall sense of incomprehension*

Which person do you mean, and why? Direct link?

The times, they are a'changing. The site owner was in all likelihood not the one to declare the books inappropriate. I suspect you mistook something.

One of the reviewers on that site is nine years old, which even by my standards would be a bit young to get a job, and what's wrong with scanning in covers and illustrations and writing reviews anyway?

Nothing wrong, except that I can't imagine why they'd be labeled inappropriate. *blinks* -Especially- by a child.

And if you go through the whole list, Dr. Seuss is mentioned at least twice, maybe three times. Again, not comprehending what makes them inappropriate. Like I said, I might be missing something here, but why they're on a “recommended inappropriate books for kids” list if they aren't defies my ability to comprehend.

And if it isn't a list of inappropriate books, then why in the world don't they change the name? Edit: Or subheading, whatever it is.

Also, lolz... I put salsa that's been sitting all day and getting hot into the spanish rice... *watches the kitten get into her plate, then watches him get out of it really fast* ...I tried to warn him!

I think you still misunderstand. As I said, these are books not deemed as inappropriate by the blog owner there.

Okay, but whoever posted it as inappropriate ought to be putting up some sort of explanation as to -why-. Because if it's -not- inappropriate, then it shouldn't be a list of inappropriate books. If it -is- inappropriate, fine, whatever- They could post some explanation so that I can make fun of them properly instead of being outraged as to why "All the things you can think" is on the list- cause all I see in that is that apparently, the message is "thinking is bad".

Dur-hur?

I think I didn't mistake anything, Gurdur. I think the presentation on the site makes no sense with what's up there.

Look, they're books which would be often deemed as "inappropriate" by others not connected to the blog, others such as school boards, libraries and so on. This is what you are missing. The blog is wryly commentating, not condemning.

I think you mistake a lot there. The blog "Curious Pages" uses irony and pointing out unfortunate histories in publishing.

...I'm missing anything about wry commenting, I think, because what it looks like is all around not making much sense to me. Whatever. I'll drop it, since you know much more about it than is obvious just looking at the page- Which doesn't appear wry, ironic, or particularly funny at a glance.

Then again, explanation on the page is helpful. Again. Really.
